Tub Handle while trying to take off the handle on my bathtub the screw-head broke,now how do i get the handle off?
our cold water is leaking and i wanted to replace the washers and handles on my tub fixtures,the screw was rusted in and broke off in side handle..any ideas as too what i do now,other than call a plumber?
At this point I would use a pair of channel locks and just pry the handle off. Then I would just buy 2 new stems and 2 new handles, one for each of the hot and cold sides. Still going to cost you a lot less than a plumber. And even if you drill the old screw out, you are probably going have a hard time with that stem anyway due to corrosion.
