Therapy Brace Would you have to go to physical therapy after a knee injury?
I went through a bad knee injury and I have to wear a brace for 4 weeks. I have 1 or 2 more weeks on it. I tore my MCL a ligament inside my knee and a small piece of my bone was sticking out. Will I have to go to pysical therapy.
Well in life there are always choices. You may choose not to go to therapy for whatever reasons but there will be consequences for that choice. The doctor would like the best possible outcome and so there is a very strong likelihood that a referral to a physical therapist will be given. One would think that going to therapy would be looked at in a positive way not a negative. Ultimately going is going to make the leg stronger and more functional. Some people are able to recover and not need therapy perhaps you are one of those. By the way the brace only has a five percent stabilization factor so while you are wearing it don't think that it is going to really protect the knee from further problems. If you get sent to therapy enjoy it for it is for your benefit.
