I just started working agian I'm a waitress I was wondering how much I should lift there is some heavy lifting were I work it was never a problem be4 but Im 10 weeks pregnant I don't know if that means I should stop doing this lifting r if I can do it till I'm futher along how much is safe to lift?When should I take it easy?????ThanX
I've heard that you shouldn't regularly be lifting more than 20 pounds although an occasional lift up to 50 pounds is ok. If you lift something too heavy the placenta could separate or pull away. That could cause problems. Personally, I'm probably overly cautious about lifting, if something even feels heavy, I make my husband lift it (at home) or ask someone to help me (at work). You can never be too careful when it comes to your baby. I'd suggest taking your tray loads in sections to minimize the weight. If you have to make 3 trips to the kitchen for one table then so be it!
