Why do my feet hurt at night and not in the daytime?

I can walk all day with no problems then as soon as I lie down and the pressure is off my feet, they hurt. It's a nagging pain that feels like they need a massage or to be stretched somehow. I wear Birkenstocks or running shoes like Nike most of the time, no high heels. What could be my problem and what would the remedy be? I can't sleep when they hurt and I sit up late with a heating pad wrapped around them- can't do this much longer or will go crazy.

It hurts because you walk all day, and then at night your feet aren't used to the fact that there is not as much pressure. Go see a doctor to get it checked out. Maybe cut back on the walking or wear less heavy things.
