Plus Nebulizer sinitus and augmentin?
is this prescription really necessary for sinitus? i feel that is too strong (for my 6 year old) i have always thought that this is one condition that will go away in time, like a bad cold. what are your thoughts? for now i am just using benadryl for her at night and and motrin in daytime, plus using albuterol with the nebulizer.
Augmentin is an antibiotic in a group of drugs called penicillin's. It is used to fights bacteria in the body. Augmentin is used to treat many different infections caused by bacteria, such as sinusitis, pneumonia, ear infections, bronchitis, urinary tract infections, and infections of the skin. Its also known more commonly as amoxicillin ( it also has clavulanate potassium ) and is used very commonly with children for "colds" ( this includes the above). My kids lived off this stuff it seemed like when they were younger. Its OK, but if you don't want to give it to your child, that's fine also. The problem is, if you choose not to, then your child's "cold" may drag on longer than you would like. There are some plus's and minus's for each...you need to weigh them both. My humble opinion...I would give it to my child. I could use the sleep. Great question
